Returns Policy

For whomever you may be purchasing a pretty silky treat, we want them to adore their Dirty Pretty gift. We appreciate that sizing and fit can be tricky when ordering online, so we offer an easy return and exchange policy. 

Please note each garment is individually checked by hand prior to dispatch. All garments leave our Dirty Pretty e-shop in perfect condition.

Our Terms and Conditions are:

  • Garments must be un-worn, in original pristine condition, with tags attached and in original packaging.
  • We cannot accept returns that have been worn, washed or tampered with in any way.
  • Personal Massage devices, massage oils, lubricants and perfumes are not returnable.
  • Returns must be made within 14 days of receiving goods . Please notify us within 7 days of receiving goods via email at returns@dirtyprettythings.com.au. Be sure to include name and order number. Please state you request for change of size, style or colour.
  • We will endeavor to replace the item, subject to availability or are happy to help you select something  else that tickles your fancy. 
  • Please note we cannot offer exchange or refund/return on any SALE item.

Shipping and Delivery

All orders are delivered via Australia Post Express Satchels and should be received the within 2 days when orders are received by 3pm on any business day.

A flat shipping rate of $11.50 applies for all orders within Australia. Our International friends may email us at orders@dirtyprettythings.com.au to obtain a shipping quote.

Gift Wrapping

All Dirty Pretty Things come gift wrapped in our specially designed Dirty Pretty Things lingerie box or expertly hand gift wrapped , such as perfumes, pasties etc.A wonderful treat awaits you as you unwrap the pink satin ribbon and lift the embossed lid to reveal soft tissue paper, fastened with a pert DPT sticker, ohh! the excitement is too much as you tear open this pretty parcel to reveal your gorgeous new lingerie.

Care Guide 

To make the most of your new intimates, we recommend hand washing. Some washing machines do come with a hand wash cycle, but use at your peril!

The gentler the wash, the longer the life of your lingerie.

Soap flakes or a lingerie wash (such as our “Delicate Wash” by NY laundering queens, The Laundrette) are ideal for your pretty smalls. General washing detergents contain harsher cleaning agents that may dissolve the delicate trims on your silky wares, so we advise that you proceed with caution.

To clean your lingerie dissolve a little detergent in warm water, allow to stand for no longer than an hour, then dunk and rinse garments a number of times. Do not wring or squeeze excess water rather place your delicates on an old fluffy towel and gently roll to remove excess water before hanging in the shade to drip dry.

This process can seem to be a chore, but it will extend the life of your lovely lingerie  and seeing all your freshly laundered intimates hanging on the line is another opportunity to admire your lovely collection of dirty pretty things!

Tips for the Gentlemen Shopper

So, you have decided to buy your lady a gift of lingerie.

Before placing your order for this Dirty Pretty gift, some sleuthing must take place in order to obtain her correct size. Take a sneak peak in her lingerie drawer and start  checking the bra sizes of the bras she tends to wear the most. 

You’ll be looking for two numbers and a letter (or perhaps even two letters such as DD) Try to get a a few to compare. 

Keep in mind that there may be three forms of the same “size” in her range of bras.

Knickers are a little easier as you are only looking for a number, if she has cut out the size tag you could also check her favourite skirt or pants to get a better idea.

Whilst poking around, take note of the lingerie styles she likes, does she tend to wear quite a  full cup, or balconette style bra? Do her bras tend to be sporty and practical, lacey and sheer or pretty and sweet? Take note of colours she may wear in general when selecting colours for her lingerie. Does she like a full brief or a retro hipster style in her knickers, perhaps a cheeky Brazilian cut is more her style. Consider the occasion you are purchasing for and the style of lingerie you would like to give. Her birthday might be an opportunity to really spoil your pretty lady with all the bells and whistles, treating her to a set of her favourite French lingerie including suspender belt and stockings (a gift that you will give yourself in return!)

For Valentine's day an overt pair of knickers and crystal encrusted riding crop may be all you need for that naughty weekend away.

So gentleman the most important thing to keep in mind when buying for your sweetheart is firstly her SIZE, closely followed by the OCCASION. Getting the correct size garment is imperative to you both enjoying your gift when given, but be rest assured, in the event of your gift not fitting perfectly we will happily exchange to get her correct size.
